This extensive painting was made by me and Jadda Cat @thelivinginstallation. We set up every day during the start of the pandemic and painted everything we felt and saw, day in and day out as a symbol of normality. No matter how hard, we set up and painted this together. No one was outside when we started the piece. It was nutz. Eerie. As months went on, the city became more populated. We would pick up on the energy of the city, channeling it onto the paper. Something you couldn't see, but you could feel if you observed it every day. Sometimes, we'd incorporate overheard words into the work. This painting is about us, a dual energetic self portrait. Artists, best friends, and loves, attached at the hip, living and breathing the energy of NYC.
